The Department of Water Resources is currently reviewing the comments it has received and will incorporate them into a final Environmental Impact Report. By Spring 2007, DWR expects to release a final Environmental Impact Report and submit to the Legislature a recommended preferred restoration plan and a proposed restoration funding plan.

During summer 2007, California legislators will make a decision on which plan the State will use to restore the Sea. We encourage people to contact their legislators and ask for a plan that meets the legally-mandated requirements.
